The Bridges Program reaches students primarily through existing Baltimore City after-school programs. For the 2017-2018 academic year, Bridges works with students at Wolfe Street Academy, Govans Elementary, Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle, and Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School.
Each site provides some of the funding required to provide instruments, teachers, and orchestra at their school; the remaining funding must be raised by Bridges’ general fundraising. With more funding, this excellent program can reach many more students in more after-school programs. Learn how you can help by visiting our “Support” page.
Other past partners include Waverly Elementary Middle, Calvin Rodwell Elementary, Edgewood Elementary, Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy, East Baltimore Community School, Dr. Rayner Browne Elementary, and William Pinderhughes Elementary Middle as a new site.
Site partners have included Child First Authority, Franciscan Youth Center, Elev8 Baltimore, and the Baltimore Curriculum Project.
